The cave is located above the village of the same name, at an altitude of about 650 m. The path leading to it is very difficult and is not suitable for beginners or amateur hikers. The cave has been subjected to very intense robbing activity, resulting in the violent disturbance of the ancient strata. It is reported to show traces of use from the Palaeolithic down to the Roman period, such as stone tools, bones and other finds, but it has not been systematically investigated to date.
