The monument is located about 500 m northwest of the village of Stamna. It is a small chapel with a free cross-shaped plan, today in ruins. Of particular interest are the remains of frescoes, as they undoubtedly belong to the original building and represent early examples of painting from the area. They include in fact an imitation in paint of marble orthostats, an element that suggests earlier decorative fashions. In the apse of the church sanctuary, part of a frescoed surface with the decorative theme of the leafy cross is preserved. In general, the monument demonstrates links with the earlier Byzantine tradition and, on the basis of the masonry and the painted decoration, dates to the second half of the 9th century.
